We would highly recommend you DO NOT use this branch of William H Brown. As first time buyers we expected to have been moved into the property we'd had an offer accepted on within about 3 months. However, 5 and a half months later we'd had very little (if any) communication from them regarding the vendor's intentions.
We'd always have to chase them; asking if he was still keen to sell and every single time we would get the same response: "We've been in contact with the vendors and they're still very keen to sell and are looking to move to the ****** area". No one seemed to know the position of the vendor, and location and type of property he was moving to would change week to week depending on which agent we got through to on the phone. As well as this, the agents would always refer to our vendor as 'they' despite him being alone in his search. They clearly had no idea.
One agent, Daniel, was unprofessional enough to mistakenly leave a voicemail on our phone (2 days after telling us the same old story) thinking we were the vendor, notifying him that 'the buyers have been in contact and want to know your position', so clearly he had lied abut speaking to the vendor 2 days previous. We complained to the area manager and he was given a disciplinary. At one point, we were promised a weekly phone call to update us on the situation, but this never happened and we were the ones always contacting them. After 4 months of waiting we decided to continue our search elsewhere, thinking the vendor would get worried that we were looking at other properties and he'd lose us - but the agents didn't seem bothered and actually encouraged us to keep looking (I bet the vendor was really pleased his estate agents were pushing his buyers to find another house!). We finally found another property that we really liked with Beresfords and were keen to put an offer in. We phoned William H Brown to warn them we were thinking of placing an offer and they left two messages on the vendor's phone promising us they'd call us back in a couple of days to let us know if he really was serious about selling. They (unbelievably) contacted us to say they'd had no reply from the vendor and we pulled out.
The whole time this was happening we did give the estate agents the benefit of the doubt and know that they can't make anybody buy a house, however they clearly weren't working very well on behalf of the vendor so he has now lost his first time buyers and they have lost their clients. We had next to no communication from them and were dealt with very unprofessionally.
