Booked a viewing for a Friday afternoon (during work lunch hour) and couldn't find property, called up for help and discovered they had actually forgotten to put me in their calendar.
Re-arranged for Saturday the next day, lady to show us around (Rose) was 15 minutes late. We ended up waiting with another estate agents who was also showing someone round. Maybe a double booking?
Lady showed us around the house, she had not been briefed of our intentions, so had to re-explain. Offered what was required from Land Lady with prompt actions we could of taken therefore both parties happy. Were told she would get back to us that day, in fact that afternoon. Got to 5pm Saturday, heard nothing. Gave it Monday and all day Tuesday, still nothing, emailed in to express my upset and confusion, today is Thursday. Still nothing. Such a shame as we were in a position to spend money on any needed renovation (Baring in mind the property was tired looking and an awful layout ) , several months upfront and able to guarantee the landlady rent each month, a worry off her mind. (This property had been on the market for least a month, thought it was going to help her if we took it off her hands)
We felt somewhat that it was because we are young and an underestimated company. Either way, still nice to have a reply to an email or a phone call to let us know the outcome, which was promised. Even if what we offered wasn't suitable , would of been nice to had some sort of communication rather than being left in the lurch.

my son signed a joint tenancy with several liability so when another tenant did not pay his rent that amount was deducted form my sons deposit, that tenants guarantor was not charged. these tenancies are very unfair and stuents should be very wary of signing them. ...

We are having an awful experience with Homelets. We have compelling evidence that they will do anything to keep our deposit. I too am going to take the Watchdog and Rouge Trader route. It's been back and forth, a MyDeposit dispute and as much warning to all students out there. The property was mouldy, the boiler leaking and the list goes on. They are so irresponsible that they're risking lives. I want to warn every current tenant. They should not be allowed to trade. ...

This is obviously a review written by somebody that works for homelets, homelets are AWFUL. I've never met a single person with a good experience, I personally know people who have had ceilings fall through, toilets that have never been fixed, frequent viewings with no prior consent...I've even met somebody who went on holiday to return to a house with no roof, they started repairing the roof without informing the tenant and then the building stopped before the roof was complete.
