Over 3 months ago (It is now October) we left our property which was let by Purple Frog Birmingham. Over that time we have been trying to get our deposit back. Since disputing those charges we received 3 weeks (and still going) of silence from the agents. The way the agents communicated has been appalling throughout.
Upon moving in the house its condition was not satisfactory, it was dusty and had unfinished plaster work and loose wires spread over the house. Furniture was damaged and it took far too long for individual maintenance requests to be 'resolved'.
It was a beautiful old house and the lettings agents did not take the appropriate responsibility to maintain it to an ideal standard - that was also acceptable for the rent that was charged. They do not consider you as customers and as a result it appears they will drag their feet and put cost effectiveness over the lasting satisfaction of those who stand in their properties.
Comment on agent fees
Bad - Unnecessary applications fees, extortionate tenancy agreement and inventory fees for template documents that are inaccurate and bear no weight against the documents they send you in the post.

Looking at your comments about our agency fees, I'm a little confused.
We don't charge tenants for inventories.
Our contracts are also managed and signed online, so this should have been delivered to you electronically, the same with your inventory. So I am a little confused about your comments about sending you documents through the post.
Our admin fee is £59, with a £1 signing fee, when you complete the online contract. We make these costs clear at the time you pay the admin fee and also publish this information on our website: http://www.purplefrogproperty.com/contact-us/fees-charges/.
