Starting the process of buying and selling a house is extremely stressful and something that we got heavily burnt on in the past with Warren Powell Richards in Alton. So we tentatively entered the process again with a lot of hesitation, but from previous dealings with Ben, decided to select Homes Estate Agent. It was by far the best thing we have done. They really do walk all over the other estate agents in Alton. They are proactive with their selection process when obtaining potential buyers, and were able to secure a buyer for our house in under 12 hours!!! That was purely down to Ryan Burns in the sales team looking across the legacy book of potential buyers and selecting them specifically. Something that was completely lost on Warren Powell Richards.
After a few viewings on potential houses, we were lucky enough to find a house that would allow us to grow as a family but remain in the same area through the guidance of Ryan and the team. With a short negotiating period, where Ryan really comes into his own, we were able to secure the house.
Something that really sets Homes apart from other estate agents is the Sales Progression Team. They are a segregated team in the agency that focus solely on getting the sale and purchase completed, and my word they are good! Sue was ultimately responsible for exchanging contracts by really driving the solicitors on both our buyers and vendors and taking away the unknown pressure and nervousness that surrounds the housing market in the UK. I personally cannot thank Sue enough, as she was calm, articulate and knew the process better than the solicitors did in most cases.
So with all of that in mind, I cannot recommend this estate agent enough, they have enabled us to recognise our dreams and secure the future for our children.
Comment on agent fees
I work on the premise of "You get what you pay for!" and "you pay peanuts, you get monkeys" this is absolutely spot on with this case. You pay a good rate and you get an amazing service. Homes are still below the market rate, but absolutely deliver. Considering the time and effort involving all the team members, this really is good value for money.
