The least said, the better of my interactions and experience with pacitti jones, totally unprofessional, staff lack inadequate training and very racist. I won't recommend them to anyone. My whole ordeal started when my spouse went to check on a flat, the agent was okay with her decision to rent. I was asked to fill an application. Even after providing 3 months bank statements from 2 accounts with a turnover of over $25,000 with a copy of my business registration. I was still asked how I can afford my rent simply because I'm African. It took days and lots of talks with one of the managers to have them to rent to me on condition that I pay for all the 6 months plus 1.5 months all at once. I did exactly that, they didn't acknowledge my payment so I sent them a copy of the swift advice, they didn't even acknowledge that and kept on telling me to make payment in full before getting access to the flat. And when I called the agent out for being lazy and incompetent all because she always ignores my messages and creates the impression that I can't afford the flat at all cost. They sent me a message telling me because I called them out for being lazy, the landlord says he won't rent to me again. Funny enough, they won't issue me a receipt for my payment, also they won't send me a written note from the landlord confirming that. From my interactions with them, it's obvious most of the employees here have poor training, almost impossible to believe they don't even know what a swift advice is. Very arrogant and discriminatory. Avoid them.

I understand your disappointment that the landlord instructed us not to proceed further with your application for the tenancy. We are duty bound to act in the best interests of our client, the landlord, and also to act on their instructions. Given that you were arriving from overseas and had no evidence of employment in the UK, it was unlikely that you would meet our referencing agency's criteria. In order for your application to proceed further our client advised that they would agree in principal to your application if you were able to pay 6 month's rent in advance, which is entirely reasonable.
During the communications to arrange that, you became increasingly abusive to my colleagues at Pacitti Jones, both verbally and in writing, and ultimately sent us an extremely confrontational and offensive e-mail. In the light of your e-mail, the landlord decided that they did not want to rent the flat to you after all. We also advised, on several occasions, that as a firm we have a Zero Tolerance policy for the type of behaviour you were displaying.
Our letting staff here are among the most highly trained in Scotland and were among the first to undertake training to obtain the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Level 3 Certificate in Letting and Managing Residential Property. As a respected firm of Solicitors, as employers and estate agents we are fully conversant with the Equalities Act 2010 and do not discriminate as you have implied. Pacitti Jones is regulated by both the Law Society of Scotland and the Council of Letting Agents.
