After a decent service from Homebuyers during our tenancy, we had a very negative ending to our tenancy.
Homebuyers wanted to take approx 90% of our deposit, complaints included scuffs to the mail box and plug sockets, a ridiculous cleaning fee (£300 on a 2 bed terrace) despite us spending hours cleaning which included using a rug doctor on the property before we left.
No concerns were ever raised following inspections during our tenancy, however the final inspection was damning and extremely negative.
We genuinely looked after this property and loved out time there, we may as well have trashed the place before we left given the final inspection.
Also Homebuyers refused to let us return to the property to rectify anything.
However we did dispute this with DPS and we got our full deposit back.
We didn't have photos of the property, having never been in this situation before we didn't think we'd need to and we were confident we'd looked after the place, so we lacked evidence but still won the dispute.
Homebuyers will warn you that you can be charged if you take forward a dispute, DPS were quick to tell us otherwise so please if you're in the same situation that we were in, go to a third party and take it forward formally, as I said we got our fill deposit back.
Interestingly the reviews from landlords are very positive and not so much from tenants, its clearly a bias service.
Unfortunately as a tenant renting a property, I can not recommend Homebuyers.

This sounds very similar to our experience even down to two photos of individual hairs which lead to us paying for a full kitchen cupboard clean!! We also had administration errors where they were sending personal details to an incorrect email and we did not even get an apology. And we also did not get a copy of our contract when we resigned so the above comment is redundant I think your review makes perfect sense. ...

We had a similar experience at the end of our tenancy. We lost all our deposit after taking great care of our rented house, we may as well have trashed the place, we'd be no worse off.
Extortionate cleaning charges despite us spending hours cleaning and charges for general wear and tear, as in scuffs to the mailbox and plug sockets, on a very old house.
We were also charged for marks caused by their own workmen.
They have to be the most pedantic and unfair agency I've encountered in 14 year ...

Any deductions made from a deposit would have been instructed by your landlord and supported by an inventory which you will have checked and signed prior to the commencement of the tenancy.
We do not conduct a "move in" with a landlord as no inventory would be required at that point. As such his statement is clearly false. We do not have control over any decision made by a landlord although we would never encourage them to enter a property prior to the tenancy end date. ...
