I was acting on behalf of my brother who now lives in Frannce, regretfully heis & has been very ill with a form of cancer.
On his instructions I approached 2 agents, first Gascoine-Pees in Alton. I spoke with Karen and discussed the suituation, she was exremely understanding and took time to explain to me the information required and full details of what her company was able to offer. I found this very reassuring. However my brother had instructed me to market the property through 2 agents. The other agent was able to secure a sale agreement which was accepted, I explained all the details to Karen who was very understanding and then suggest that I leave the property on their books in case there was a future problem. I found this was a good option, after several months of protraction by the preposed purchaser, Karen kept in touch, as it seemed things would on work out I was happy with this arrangement. Karen call me as she had a propective buyer, after detailed discussion, Karen was able to obtain an increased offer, as the purchaser was not able to proceed the sale was agreed with Gascoigne-Pees. Karen kept me informed of proceedings on a regular basis and releived much of the worry and concerns. The sale will now be completed next week, the whole business having been completed in 7 weeks. I have found all the staff to be most helpfully & understander, particularly Karen who has restored my confindence in Estate Agents and how important it is to keep all parties informed and up todate with proceeding. With regards to how the property was left and finding items like you mentioned.
