Just completed on our late parents property which we finally put on the market in March 2017. Initially we had looked at Purple Bricks but quickly decided to hand it over to the professionals as neither of us know anything about selling houses or conveyancing and apparently PB ends up being a Do it Yourself outfit.
This was an emotional journey for us, selling a property our father had built over 60 years ago and Glenn handled our concerns with sensitivity and professionalism....a guy with a great sense of humour who made the initial decision painless and positive for us.
The property sold after only one viewing to a couple who we felt immediately were the best people to have mum and dads home...our home. It had been up for sale for two days!
There were a few issues with time as the buyer lost their sale and we chose to wait until they eventually sold but had this not been the case things would have completed much sooner.
Jackie took over once the sale started to proceeed, she has been great from start to finish, always there for advice, always happy to help and professional to the last, if she couldn't talk to you she would respond via email very quickly, we were never left waiting for answers.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Connells but I would say that if you already have a solicitor it may be wise to stick with them, their recommended company wasted three weeks by sending information to the wrong email address, we eventually switched to our family solicitor who obviously did a brilliant job.
All in all a painless process, estate agents don't come cheap but we paid for expertise and that's what we got.
