Worst company ever! After weeks of chasing up over the phone, Countrywide finally gave me a viewing slot for a rental property in Glasgow on a Saturday at 2.30pm. Apparently, the existing tenants were being difficult and not allowing them access to the property.
Nevermind. Atleast I got a viewing slot, I thought.
It was my long holiday weekend but I still cancelled all my plans and travelled from Edinburgh to Glasgow to view the property. I arrived 10 minutes ahead of the appointment and waited for 40 min outside the property but no sign of any staff member! I pressed the property buzzer many times but no reply. I phoned the office thrice but it went straight to voicemail as it was a Saturday and apparently they care closed after 1pm! I never got any phone call from the viewing agent either. With no options in sight, I left 3 voicemails asking one of them to get back to me on Monday but nobody did.
I called up on Monday to find out the reason why I was stood up but they tried to blame it on me by asking if I was at the right address and if I pressed the correct door buzzer. They promised me they will ask the concerned agent to get back to me by end of the business day but as expected, nobody did.
There is a massive communication gap between the central staff who receive phone calls to arrange viewings and local staff who actually do the viewings. Half of the time, they are not even sure what's going on with the properties. You would be lucky if same staff member answers your call twice in a row! No professionalism shown whatsoever.
Avoid at all costs. After reading other reviews, I am glad I am not going ahead with this con organisation they call as a residential letting company. I am surprised how they are managing to afford an office in Candleriggs, Glasgow with every existing/potential customer hating on them for the right reasons!
