After several dealings with other Estate Agents recently, and having received acceptable service, we wanted to be more involved in the sale of our house than we had been with other agents.
Doorstep agents fit the bill. It was so easy to book an initial consultation with them, with everything being done on-line – perfect for our needs. our agent arrived on time, was very friendly, had excellent local knowledge (something we thought we wouldn't get from a national company like this), and filled us full of confidence. He took the photo's there and then, which were superb, and by the end of the day, the House Brochure was available for us to amend/approve etc.
The house sold a few days later and seven weeks later, everything is complete. The main office kept in touch regularly, and although we had wanted to do all the viewings and negotiations ourselves, we could have chosen to take a back seat and let our agent deal with it all.
They also didn't work the normal office hours, and was there when needed. We felt totally in control at all times, but with the expert back up there if we needed it.
On top of all that, it cost us a tenth of what a High Street agency would have charged.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
