WOULDN'T TOUCH THIS AGENCY WITH A 10FT BARGE POLE
I had a bad feeling about Paul Simon Homes from the start; being students, my flat mates and I were desperate to settle on a place despite the bad reviews. It started off with strange requirements for guarantors requiring to have earned exorbitant amounts per annum but it was something we overlooked as it we were able to haggle for alternative routes. We had mutiple problems with the house; the problems started with a ceiling that leaked for weeks, a plumber was sent in who ripped our bathroom apart and had the audacity to blame it on us when in fact, it was faulty pipe in the ceiling. The staff were difficult (to say the least) to communicate with, not only did the oversear of our housing area leave without informing us, she failed to pass our enquiries onto a colleague leaving us to spend months in unhappy (and wet) conditions. At the end of the tenancy, despite listing problems with the house on the inventory, they refuse to accept that the damages we present from the start until I sent pictures (in addition, I was advised that it was sufficient to state damaged walls on the inventory and they charged me for blutack marks). I hope no one has the displeasure of coming into contact with anyone from Paul Simon Homes. Disgusting customer service, treated us horribly because we were students, advertised the house as having security when the post boxes were broken into, fire alarm kept going off, home security sensors didn't work all while having the audacity to charge us £70 to professionally clean an oven because you have no proof of the oven being dirty when you moved in and thus, we have to charge you because you didn't clean it...you should've bought oven cleaner.
