Avoid Martin and Co like the plague. Wouldn't let us sign the contract or pay the deposit til move-in day, and when the day came, wouldn't let us move for 3-4 weeks, no compensation, no place to live in the interim, just sorry, you're homeless now. No apologies, rude staff, zero communication, took zero responsibility.
Comment on agent fees
Rent was very good, one of the only reasons we were interested in a property with them at all. In hindsight, the cheap rent was not worth the wasted time, money, effort and emotional trauma.

Rent was very good, one of the only reasons we were interested in a property with them at all. In hindsight, the cheap rent was not worth the wasted time, money, effort and emotional trauma.

I can deinately agree with that. Rude aggresive and sarcastic. I got my keys the same day i had to move in due to their inability to have the contract ready. The house was filthy sticky and smelly. You must have broken your tenancy agreement to have paid to leave? Surely it's common sense you can't get your friends to move in and get your deposit back in one go? Did your friends have to wait until you had done an inventory for damages before they could move?! Sounds pretty normal to me? ...

It's interesting That Martin and Co see fit to discuss clients- past or present I don't know which - financial and employment status on a public forum...I'm sure that goes somewhere against data protection which they clearly state in their terms and conditions they will only share with the Credit Referencing agency and Landlord...slick move guys. Oddly enough I know Ricky Benwell personally and I'm disappointed in him for stopping so low as to work for this lot. ...
