We have scheduled two viewings on the Haymarket Terrace, and we have accepted the first date for viewing they offered, which was a week from contacting this agency. We have noted that we will be coming from Glasgow to view the apartments. The day before viewing, we received a call notifying us that one of the properties we were interested to rent was let. This was our first choice, but we still decided to come to Edinburgh to see the "backup" flat. When we arrived, the agent that met us hadn't had appropriate keys to access the property (which was established after 5minutes of her trying to unlock the doors and contacting the main office to find out what is wrong, all while standing outside in the rain) and offered us to schedule a viewing for some other day.
First of all, it is aparent that we haven't been offered the first available viewing from when we called, and because of that we missed the opportunity for our primary choice. Secondly, it is unacceptable to schedule a viewig and not be able to show the flat at the time.
Never again will we contact this agency, no matter how much we like the flats they have to offer.

I am sincerely sorry that you have suffered such a major inconvenience. It's very common for flats to get snapped up by other parties before someone else gets a chance to review. It's a most unfortunate part of our job as we frequently are forced to let people down when they miss out on a property they are really interested. Especially when they have travelled large distances to visit.
Most frustratingly the lock to the common entrance at the property you did come to see had been changed by one of the residents without our knowledge. As such we couldn't open the door to let you in with the keys we held. I greatly appreciate that this caused great annoyance for you, compounded by the fact it was a miserable, wet day.
Please accept my most genuine apologies.
