The level of incompetence at Martyn Gerrard is mind-boggling. When dealing with Block Management, a manager must stay on top of all business relating to the block and always keep the interests of the block, and its freeholders in mind. However, Stuart Burchell, who leads the team at Block Management, is by far the most incompetent, uncaring, and unprofessional person I've ever had to deal with. I am a property professional with a large portfolio and have worked with many block managers who have been great. However, the service I've received at Martyn Gerrard has been the absolute lowest standard of professionalism I have ever encountered. They lie, they don't get work done which has been paid for, they procrastinate and always "apologise for the delay". If this is familiar to you, then don't choose Martyn Gerrard to lead the management at your block as you will be faced with this on a daily basis.
We are in the process of removing them at the earliest opportunity and raising a complaint with the ombudsman. The evidence of negligence on their part spans many pages and as service users, I feel it is our obligation to highlight failings in the industry.
Martyn Gerrard has clearly *taken money from us in the form of higher than necessary service charges (where like for like items are much cheaper) to collect the difference in "commission" and line their own pockets. A word of warning, if you are looking for a new block manager, then look anywhere else except here, as all you will find are thieves and hypocrites.

Totally concur with the above comment. After one year our landlady who lived abroad decided to instruct Martyn Gerrard to manage her property. Electricians came to sort out the weird wiring to get an electrical certificate, so broke kick boards, damaged flooring, left holes in the wall, informed M G and no response. Damp, cracks on walls, sent a man who carved a hole in the wall and left it. Handle fell off a drawer in kitchen, soooo didn't want to ask them to sort it so tried to get one myself ...

We have had a similar issue with Martyn Gerrard Block Management as has our neighbour when we both tried to contact their office regarding a licence for alterations and extending the lease on our property. When we ring the office they claim the lady dealing with it is out and will get back to us (she never does) or when she is in she says she cant get hold of the freeholder.
