We got the impression that Benjamins was a trustworthy agency but, after having spent a year in one of their rented properties, we would never think of renting or buying with Benjamins again. When we viewed the house, it was quite dirty. One of the factors that encouraged us to rent with them was the fact that Ben told us the house would be cleaned, wall marks would be painted, and bed mattresses would be changed to new ones.
Moved in the house - not clean. Walls were still the same. Mattresses were still the same - one of them had (and probably still has to this date) a huge yellow stain on the back of it, which they'd flipped in order to conceal it. We asked about whether these things would be sorted during our tenancy - got told they'd try... But it never got done. This enfuriated us... We basically got lied to, signing a 12 month contract to then be ignored and things not get sorted.
Contacting Ben was extremely hard during our tenancy. We would text him, e-mail him, even call him... Very few times did we hear back from him.
Lastly, and just as a little addition... We got told that, at the beginning of the property, we'd get a 'Welcome Pack' with some wine... Never saw that wine. What's more, the fridge was not cleaned before we moved in, and Ben 'sent us money to compensate for that'...
We felt like we were treated like tramps. The robbery we went through for 12 months, paying 750 a month for a flat, was definetely not worth it. Will never go with with this agency again and, if anyone ever asks me, I will surely advice not to go with them either.
