I am not sure whether this is a real agent or not tbh.

We had problems from day 1 - after we paid deposit we were ignored. All the so call promises they made all turned into ashes. They don't listen to your concerns. For example, we did not require new electronics and only wanted a working, quiet fan, but we were ignored and dismissed. Not only that but staff are just SO rude! We have been told that it is not ok to ask for a receipt when you've paid rent! Problems keep occuring, we were not told about professional cleaning from the start and actually was asked whether or not we wanted professional cleaning to which we said no to. Guess what? at the end of the contract, they tell us that they have in fact done professional cleaning and demand that we do it before returning the property. This would have been fine IF we were notified in the first place.

Conclusion: rude, unprofessional, lack of communication skills. 200% would not recommend.

We take these comments very seriously and are sorry for your comments.

The clean is something which is very clearly outlined in your Tenancy Agreement and the flat was professionally cleaned before you moved in, we have provided you a receipt for this. I'm sure you were happy with the clean when you moved in.

In terms of the flat issues, I know that every time you have asked people have come straight round, for example the light recently. I apologise if the fan was left a little longer, but i'm certain this is the only occasion.

Finally, in terms of a receipt. We look after nearly 200 rent collections and in 13 years you are the only person to have requested this. Having said that we have responded to your emails confirming receipt of rent, so again I'm very unsure why you would make a complaint.

I would be more than happy to sit down with you to discuss each of these items in person and hopefully the move out procedure will be a smooth one.

There were issues with the boiler pressure dipping when you moved into the property since the stopcock for the mains water was buried when the renovations were carried out (prior to us taking over management). As you are aware, we had several contractors attend to try and locate this without taking out the entire kitchen which would have had much more of an impact on your enjoyment of the property. Information for Tenants
Relevant letting fees and tenant protection information
In addition to paying rent for the property, you may also be required to make the following permitted payments:
Before the tenancy starts:
• Holding Deposit: 1 week’s rent; and/or
• Deposit: 5 weeks rent

During the tenancy:
• Payments to other third parties: such as Council Tax, utilities or payments for communications services:
• Default Charges: such as payments for the replacement of lost keys or interest on overdue rent; and
• Tenancy Transaction Charges: such as requests to vary or assign the tenancy.

Tenant Protection
Squires Estates is a member of Client Money Protect, which is a client money protection scheme, and also a member of The Property Ombudsman which is a redress scheme. You can find out more details on the agent’s website or by contacting the agent directly.
