Having looked hard for a local agent we used Regal Estates in Bearsted, having developed a trusting relationship with tehir office manager and just taken on a new tenant the branch was closed without warning. So, the nearest branch was then the other side of Kent, a treck for both me as landlord and tenant to get to. Then having claim to have told us the branch was closing - after the fact, and that our account was anyway administered by their Rainham branch - a lie, we have never been to their Rainham branch, nor had our tenant! Then that despite the orginal agreement and description of the contract that after a year of commission we were free to leave their services, Regal now demand payment to move to a local branch.
Take care with these people!

1. The Bearsted Lettings office was closed in favour of expansion in the North Kent area. All Landlords were written to. Though in this case it seems our correspondence did not arrive at it's intended target.
2. The correct advice was given. All accounts and management have been centrally administered by the dedicated Lettings and Property Management office in Rainham. This has been the case for over 7 years. The Bearsted office has never dealt with Management or Accounts.
3. All paperwork is done by post for Landlords. There was no reason for you to 'Trek' to North Kent. In many cases our staff have been to Landlord's home addresses to deliver and pick up contracts.
4. You signed a set of Terms and Conditions. These Terms of Business very clearly demonstrate your liability to pay fees. We abide by these Terms of Buiness as any professional organisation does.
We fail to see that any part of your comment has merit as has been explained previously.
