I just wanted to follow up on the two improvement points you made in your review. On your first point, in which you mention the other offer that was received on the property after you had already made your initial offer; I want to clearly confirm that this is indeed the truth. I can understand your concern in thinking that agents use this ‘technique’ to try and get more money; this is absolutely not how we at Hotblack Desiato conduct ourselves. We are, of course, obligated to get the best offer for our client but we would never falsify an offer to achieve this objective. I have emailed you proof of
the offer that was made. I then informed you of this and we spoke on the phone, I then followed up by email. I believed that we had built a relationship and if I had realised that you were concerned over this matter when we spoke over the phone or later on perhaps, I would have been able to explain and provide the proof of the other offer at the time. As regards the cleaning, unfortunately the previous tenant did not clean the property to a professional standard, as we had expected him to do, I can only apologise for this and hope that this issue has now been dealt with.
