I used Hunters to sell my property after being disappointed with two separate estate agents.
Let me tell you the results they got before I talk about my experience of Hunters:
I accepted an offer within 7 days! (other agents had it advertised for 2 months!)
The offer I accepted was 5k over the price I was asking because Hunters negotiated so well for me.
I advertised my property with Hunters at a price that was £5,000 less than the other agents and Hunters got me the price other agents couldn't! And this was despite other agents trying for over 2 months!
This was my first house sale in the area and I am happy to describe my experience.
First and foremost was that Hunters generated more interest in the house which meant I had five times more views than before and this enabled me to learn about the buyers (from Hunter's feedback) and the kind of things that were important to them. After each viewing I received feedback.
The interface with one estate agent who was on hand to always accept phone calls and give and take advice was good. That said his back office team had the photography and marketing skills to present the house in the best light.
It was like the marketing and sales power of a big estate agent (I believe Hunters are a national company) but with the friendly, helpful and area knowledge of a great local agent.
I'm not an expert on the market but I felt I was an expert on my house. I wanted certain points accentuated and Hunters took this on board and included information in their marketing description as well as verbally informing people viewing. Hunters definitely listened to my requests.
They weren't afraid to say what I didn't want to hear - which managed my expectations. Both parties want a sale at the highest possible price but that means nothing if the house isn't sold.
Hunters knew that and always focused on the most important thing - which was selling the house.
What is brilliant, despite selling chain free, Hunters wanted to know what my onward plans were in case they could help. Months on from selling my property, I still speak to them and ask their advice on what and where to buy. In fact, they have even looked at property details for me and given their opinion which goes to show they aren't just after making money from you! I don't ever feel they don't want to speak to me and I have no doubt I'll tell friends and family about them.
