If you have or want to live in Radyr, for goodness sake do not use Nicola at MGY (Michael Graham Young). I've never come across anyone ruder or more useless. We rented a house which she was managing and initially I thought she was helpful. That was until she had my signature and cash in her dirty sticky paws. Once that initial mistake of mine came to light I realised quite how awful she was and apart from telling lies, she simply cannot manage a property because she's far too busy filing her nails. The owners lived abroad and I believe had no idea how awful she was. Previous tenants had left due to the state of the place. And gullible me believed her when she showed me round informing me the obvious problems had all been fixed and were drying out and would be made good and painted or fixed before the new tenant moved in. Well we moved in a month later and nothing had been fixed. We lived there for 6 months as they would not let us break our contract despite the fact for the first three weeks (over Christmas and with 4 small children) we had no hot water or heating. We had rain water coming through the roof. We had black, green, yellow and white mould on the walls of the children's bedroom. The dishwasher didn't work. The washing machine kept breaking and four times flooded downstairs. Nicola told me to soak it up with towels. Great help when you've got no heating or washing machine!! Many of the kitchen draws were broken and would not work. The extractor fan dripped oil and filth onto the hob. The kitchen walls also were all covered in mould. The bedroom blinds or curtain poles were broken meaning you couldn't close them at night.
The garden was a mess and after we moved in the fence fell down meaning the garden was exposed to the road and therefore no longer enclosed making it dangerous for the children to play in. In the end I called the environmental health officer round who was pretty horrified that the house had been rented out in that state and demanded two pages worth of issues be fixed.
Nicola told me in order to dry out the house we had to have the heating on 24/7. Clearly that was once the heating had been fixed. At our expense. She then denied saying that. She refused to return calls or emails. She refused to let me deal with anyone else in the office until the final month. She was truly dreadful. Once our six months were up and we were able to exercise our break clause and leave that awful house (by the way it was so damp our photo albums amongst other things are all ruined and my wedding dress mouldy) she sent me a letter saying I had to be at the house for a check out. If I was late they would charge me £50. She was three quarters of an hour late and only appeared once I had sent two emails and phoned. She tottered in with wet shoes and despite me asking her to please remove them (the floor obviously having just been scrubbed) she refused. No manners. This women made my life hell for 6 very expensive months. Due to the mould I got a skin problem and two of the children developed coughs that would not go away.
All she is interested in, in my opinion is doing as little as possible and just taking your money. Don't if you want to stay sane, use this women. Her total uselessness and rudeness and complete lack of manners, empathy and capability will drive you mad.
Comment on agent fees
Expensive for what you get. Particularly as the service you get is non existent and rude.
