After a shaky start where my account handler was handed around a couple of times I ended up dealing with Donna for most of the tenancy. This was a blessing as she had just the right approach when helping me manage a difficult tenant-neighbour dispute. She was very prompt in contacting me and chasing up for all parties, sometimes several times a day where it was required, without ever being overly obtrusive. She was always professional, friendly, understanding, calm, efficient and acted in the best interests of both landlord and tenant. She sought to find answers from her superiors where needed and I felt supported throughout. Sadly small item maintenance quotes were high and the handling of these requests/diagnostics fell mainly to us to manage based on costs quoted (our choice). The lettings marketing team found us tenants quickly but sadly we were advised on one occasion to let at too high a figure, meaning we then had to reduce the price to attract an applicant, putting on a back foot on negotiating rent. Also early correspondence with one member of this team was short and unhelpful, but this seemed to improve with later comms with other staff.
Comment on agent fees
Good value in scenarios where disputes arise. Poor value for low level maintenance / support to tenants (still made more financial sense to pick these up ourselves).
