Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us.
We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your experience with Charlesons at the end of your tenancy.
Charlesons must ensure they protect the Landlord's investment as well as ensure the tenants are treated fairly when the deposit deductions are confirmed.
Should there be any deposit deductions at the end of the tenancy, the Landlord/Agent must ensure this is clarified with the tenant before requesting for the deposit via the government deposit scheme which was introduced in 2007. This allows further protection for tenants and gives them a chance to appeal the landlord/agent's decision. Therefore, any deposit deductions would have been satisfied and approved by the deposit scheme as result of supporting evidence.
As an agent, we ensure our landlords are advised to safeguard themselves by carrying out an unbiased APIP inventory at the start and end of the tenancy. This ensures any deductions made from the deposit are evident in the report and are made fairly.
We are ALRA and NAEA regulated, and we pride ourselves on following legislation and ensure procedures are put into place to protect both our landlords and tenants.
Thank you,
Charlesons
