Gascoigne Pees have stolen £150 off of me.
During an initial conversation about renting a property I was open and honest with the agency, telling them to expect CCJs come back in my partner's name (something she was lumbered with from an ex) and explained the full situation.
I was told to pay my £500 holding deposit, and I would get a FULL refund if there was a problem. At that point, the land lady accepted us and we moved forward, booking a removal company and paying that deposit etc.
Then, 2 weeks before moving (and giving out notice at our current home), we were told the land lady had changed her mind.
Gpees have refunded only £350, saying that it was our fault that 2 CCJs came up - they only told the lad lady about one.
We were open, honest and frank about the entire situation and were promised a full refund.
Thieves, unwilling to admit their own mistakes, who left us out of pocket and almost homeless. There only solution offered was a crappy little house covered in mould.
