Was told that I would be the first to view a property (on a Wednesday) and would be able to make an application on the day of the viewing (essentially stating that I would have first refusal). I was then called the day before my viewing to inform me that they did not have the keys and had to rearrange my viewing to the Friday (2 days later) - no problem, I thought, things like this can happen. I then received a call the day before my viewing to inform me that somebody has applied for the property!! Utterly disgraceful. How has this person viewed the property without the keys? If it was possible to view the property on the Thursday, why was I not informed and everybody else moved down the list? Wouldn't touch anything that they are letting with a barge pole. Completely unprofessional and what they have done is downright wrong. They should be ashamed of themselves!

I'm sorry but that is completely false. We have been in touch with the other letting agency who have informed us that the property has been let through yourselves. We arranged a viewing for the property through them on thursday evening as at that point they were unaware that a let has been agreed. We were then told by the other agency on Friday morning that a let had been agreed through yourselves. A professional agency would allow all parties that have booked to view a property to actually view the property and allow any interested parties to submit an application before making a decision. Perhaps the reason your agency has acted in the way that you have is due to some underhanded and unethical tactics that you have employed.

Thank you for your review. The property you requested to view was under dual agency (marketed by us and another agency) and, unfortunately, the other agency let the property first. We were due to receive the keys on the Friday morning, but in the meantime someone they had shown the property to applied for it meaning we were no longer able to advertise it.

I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. As mentioned on the phone, if circumstances do change we will of course call you as soon as possible. If there's anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to call.
