One word - Unprofessional.
from the moment we walked through the door, they were all over us. until we agreed to buy one of the flats, they then dropped there attention immediately. We had problems from the very beginning - after paying for the survey on this flat, we then got told The flat had been sold to someone else through a different estate agent. How does this even happen? LACK OF COMMUNICATION! everyone shifted the blame onto someone else and eventually it got fixed.
As first time buyers I was aware of how stressful it is buying a property.. But I believe they made the experience even more stressful then needed to be.
NO ONE knew any details of the property, or when things were going to be completed in the building e.g lifts, car park. giving whatever answers they wanted us to hear. None being correct either.
Every time we called the office someone else always answered and had no idea of what was happening and said someone else would call us back.A couple of times no one called us back.
As soon as you start paying fees for solicitor, searches and so on, they know they got you And completely switch off and move onto the next customer.
On the day of 'completion' we got asked for ANOTHER large payment of over £700!! Bearing in mind this was suppose to be for 'help to buy' scheme. So how does someone who is struggling enough, going to have that kind of money just laying around on day of completion! Once again the blame was being shifted onto one another in the office and said someone should've told us from day one that the balance was going to be that much.
Also upon arrival on completion date we got told the lift is still not working!! Surprise surprise. After being told they will be finished and working between Xmas/new year. Then end of January... To end of Feb, its now March and they're still not finished!! (We live on 3rd floor, carrying A super king size bed up the stairs, along with wardrobes wasn't easy) luckily the care taker on site is very kind and caring and offered a help in hand. Aswell as the lift on the inside for people, we're also waiting for the lift outside for the cars to be completed which is holding our parking space of which we've paid £5k. Meaning I now have my car 15 mins away from my property. DISGUSTING!!! But of course haart couldn't offer anything to us!! Except proceed to say 'they should be completed by this date'
The only good thing about this estate agents is the mortgage adviser - Joe favata. Who showed care and consideration. With plenty of help - even when it was out of his hands. And to him I would like to say thank you.
They are completely useless. Take your time and money elsewhere if you want a stress free move not life.
