I used Jacksons Estate Agents to Let and Manage my property from 2012 - 2016. They were great for the first 2 years. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the last 2 years because:
1. They consistently paid the rent collected to me on random dates, up to a month late and in one instance never at all until I had to chase them up for a May 2016 payment in January 2017
2. Ongoing poor communication especially when issues were raised - I had to keep sending the same emails with the same evidence and requests to different people until I finally escalated the key issues as a formal complaint to the lettings director, even then it took from Nov 2016 - March 2017 for all outstanding issues to get resolved
3. They didn't pay back money collected from deposit of the tenancy vacated in Dec 2014 until end Feb 2017, after I had to repeatedly chase them and when they paid it they made no mention of adding any interest for all the time they had held on to money that should have been paid to me
4. Inspite of a professional clean which I'd paid for my flat was left in such a poor state when they handed it back at the end of Sep 2016 that I had to spend 1 week cleaning it myself and £9000 restoring it back to how I'd handed it over to them, even though they were meant to have carried out 4 inspection a year as well as check in and checkout for each tenancy - so many things were missed off in all these processes
I will never use them again and would never recommend them to anyone else.
Comment on agent fees
They charged 16% to let and manage my property which in my view was fair when they did what they said they would in the first 2 years, but this is extortionate when they didn't provide these services for the final 2 years

Thank you for your response and expression of concern regarding my review.
As I spent the period from Sept 2016 - March 2017 repeatedly communicating with Jacksons Lettings Management team including the Lettings Director, Jacksons really should have all the details which I'm sure you can access if you would really like to look into the matter on my behalf, without me having to repeat it all by providing you with the same information again.
