Do NOT rent with this agent as a TENANT or a LANDLORD. We signed up to live in our first family home after getting married. It was an unfurnished property so we were not keen on signing up without assurances that we could live there for a couple of years. We were promised that as long as we paid our rent on time and looked after the property we would be able to live there for a few years without any problems. In the time that we lived there Streets Ahead refused to fix any of the problems that we had with the house. They would not return our calls and they basically treated us like dirt. The landlord also found them useless and gave us his business card so that we could call him directly. He eventually decided to leave them! We are now leaving the property, the landlord is also leaving Streets Ahead and we are glad to see the back of them. They are absolutely USELESS!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Streets Ahead is very quick to 'sell' their services and close the deal. They really do not care what happens after you sign the contract. They could have responded to requests to fix the property rather than spend months treating us as if they were doing us a favour by letting us pay rent and live in the property.
