Where do I begin?! Barnard Marcus provided the worst possible tenant experience I could possibly imagine. We moved into a flat that had a stain on the ceiling & were told it was all under control, a date for re-work to begin was all that was required. Fast forward two months and the tenancy has been surrendered. The ceiling leak has got worse with mould growing throughout the property, water dripping off walls and puddles collecting on the window sills. An insurance contractor came out on Barnard Marcus' behalf and explicitly said, this property should've never been rented out in the first place, it's unsafe to live based on the level of mould & would take 2-3 months to restore. During this time, Barnard Marcus did nothing to resolve any issues, every attempt at communication was met with days of silence until I had to chase simple issues. We had no hot water in both bathrooms and our kitchen for 3 weeks and yet nothing was done even though this was logged on multiple occasions. The landlady lived abroad so Barnard Marcus were in contact with her son & it was even suggested by Barnard Marcus is there any point in sorting the water issue if the tenants are leaving!. I'm still waiting for a confirmation of tenancy termination & have called 4 times in the last week around this. Overall, a disastrous experience & I certainly won't be using Barnard Marcus ever again. (No) Thanks for jeopardising my health and causing a whole load of avoidable stress, frustration and financial expense.
