When I first rented with Mint Homes Helen was very helpful and couldn't do enough to help, she even helped me out big time when I decided I'd like to move properties, which I'm truly grateful for.
However, I wish I'd never moved. I was left with damp for 4 months before work began and was left repeatedly chasing up Mint Homes, I was in a Prime Location for work at the time in a Shared House so didn't want to move - in that time I was offered a more expensive room, a room with more damp, a smaller room or another room shown round by the previous tenant who explained the electric didn't work! (As you can imagine the amount of time it took for the damp issue to be resolved I didn't want to get involved in another!) none of these were appropriate for myself - I just wanted the damp fixing and to carry on with my life, however Mint Homes made this increasingly stressful by blaming the Landlord yet doing everything they could to appease her, promising me I could move temporarily into a room whilst mine would be decorated - then deciding actually a Dehumidifier would do and a clean - (there was wallpaper hanging off the walls with damp!!) The whole situation made me ill, stressed and affected my work and I would end up crying every time I got into my room from the pressure of it all. I feel Mint Homes abused there position knowing I was a young girl who couldn't afford to move at the time I also felt they thought I wouldn't know a lot about properties when little did they know my father rents out 5 properties for a living and is that successful I cant move into any of these as the tenants (minimum renters 12 years) don't want to leave!!! Lisa Hine had a chip on her shoulder when I would argue my case that the conditions they let me live in were disgusting (she obviously has power issues due to her shrieking down the phone to me when I indicated I was a tenant paying rent and deserved to live in decent conditions - and that is just an example!)
I would NEVER recommend any tenants to go with Mint Homes and have since heard worse experiences!!! The only reason they have a huge percentage of properties to let out in Kendal now is due to the fact that they do anything for Landlord's Business regardless of the Tenant's feelings...just look below at the reviews to see that (I suddenly feel a huge push form Mint Homes asking tenants to write good reviews!!)

Many thanks for the review Rebecca. Although we have responded to your personally I would just like to reiterate that although Mint Homes are a small team, we pride ourselves on the efficient and friendly service we provide and take both landlord and tenant customer service very seriously, whilst striving to treat all our tenants and landlords equally. When there are issues with any of our properties we aim to rectify the problems as quickly as possible, however, larger or more complicated maintenance jobs can take longer to complete due to coordinating multiple contractors (including scaffolding), or requiring a landlords authorisation when it involves substantial expenditure. During the delay you were offered alternative accommodation at two other properties and three other rooms within your existing one. I'm afraid one room was a little more expensive as it was an en-suite, but the others were priced the same or less. The repairs were completed within two months and following your positive email of 1 May, we were unaware there were any outstanding issues. As advised, Mint Homes do have a complaints procedure in place, and we would have been more than happy to send this to you in order to resolve the issue at the time of the incident. You have also been a Mint Homes tenant for a long time and as you suggested, we thought we did have a good relationship with you, however, we realise that you have had two different experiences in two properties and are really very sorry that you feel that your experience of renting through Mint Homes did not continue to be as good as before. We constantly look at ways to improve our service to ensure we carry out our landlords wishes whilst also looking after our tenants and have taken your comments on board.
