Rented a property from the Crystal Palace agency. From the minute we handed over any money they were completely useless. The day I arranged to pick up the keys they said they were still waiting for my payment- they had lost my deposit and rent (not sure how that happens). We were supposed to be supplied with a parking permit- this never happened and after months of pointless chasing through Streets Ahead I gave up and got it myself. The office were convinced it was left in the empty flat when we moved in and clearly didn't believe me when I said it was nowhere to be found. 2 months into renting the property our freezer broke. They sent someone to check it and he said it needed to be replaced. This never happened so from October until March we had no working freezer although I called, emailed, and visited the offices myself repeatedly. We received an eviction notice in January as we were advised the landlord wanted to sell. It took me several days of constantly calling to find out that information. Whoever you need to get hold of is constantly in meetings or not available. Stephanie in particular was completely useless and always apologised for not returning my calls after I would spend weeks trying to get hold of her. I am now renting privately and it is such a relief to not deal with Streets Ahead anymore. So I thought. I received an urgent voicemail last week (6 months after I last dealt with them) and was told to call them back straightaway. After another day of trying to get hold of the relevant person on my end, I was told it was an admin error. I hope this is the last time I have to deal with Streets Ahead as they caused so much unwanted stress and misery.
