Property: Well presented no chain 2 bedroom freehold mid-terrace with large garden in quiet street in a good neighbourhood within close reach of good schools and highstreet. Here's a summary: 1) They lost they property keys. 2) They didn't inform me for weeks about this, so nothing was happening with the house, not even marketing, until I had to ask them point blank 'have you lost my keys??'. 3) I provided another set, but still they did not put the house on the market for weeks, 4) They did not offer to change the locks, and upon request did not send a replacement set for weeks again, finally they did after endless chasing but the keys were lost from the envelope in transit as they were simply put loose in a shabby old paper envelope, 5) Finally they took pictures - dark, irrelevant, blurry, incomplete, minimum amount, 6) When the property was finally listed 7 weeks after signing the contract, the info was totally wrong/ pics were awful/ no floor plan done, 7) No communication with me WHATSOEVER. There was not a single attempt at trying to contact me about anything at any point, 8) Trying to contact them myself weekly was impossible to reach the agents, 9) The property was vastly over-valued by Connells, 10) After 4 months of nothing I instructed a different agent - within ONE WEEK they presented me with 3 offers, one of which has been accepted with a 30day completion timescale. Conclusion: NEVER SELL YOUR HOUSE THROUGH CONNELLS. You'll save yourself a lot of money and stress if you go with probably anyone else, literally my cat could easily do a better job.
