I did not believe the reviews online and now I wish I had. The process of renting was a farce from the beginning. We were sent someone else's contract three times. So who knows who has all my private information. During the tenancy the flat had broken washing machine, dishwasher and a fridge. Each of these took 2-3 months to fix and during the tenancy I felt that I was just calling them weekly bases to fix something that I already had called few weeks earlier. The fridge was not fixed during my tenancy. One ongoing issue was that the post could not been delivered to the building. The building was only few years old but Touchstone seemed not to be bothered maintaining and cleaning the common areas.The trade access did not work so the post was delivered only free times per week. I neither got an apology for the inconveniences nor any money back from the rent. At the end of tenancy it took them 8 week to return the deposit. And they tried to make me pay for the damage that was already in the apartment when I moved there and it was documented in the moving in report. They did not have the decency to check both the move in and move out reports. And once again there was not even apology for their (lack of) behaviour. After two months moving out from the apartment and having gotten back the deposit I thought that it was my last dealing with this nightmare company, but no. They had informed all the utility companies that I am still the tenant and I need to pay the bills until they had gotten a new tenant (took three months). I have now gotten money back from the utility firms but once again a job that I shouldn't have had to do. The office was located in Bath and the property in Cambridge.
