We were thinking of putting our house up for sale nearly a year ago, we wanted to take our time as we have a disabled son, so we were very particular about where and what we bought. William h brown played the sales tactics from the start and started constantly calling me every day even though i told them we wanted to take our time, these calls went on for 3 months. We decided to not to go through with selling our house in the end because it became very stressful and we felt extremely harrassed, plus we were beginning to think our boy may need to go to the USA for treatment which we would need our money for. Anyway a year later we are now in a position to possibly buy again and saw a house at the top end of our budget on right move through William H Brown. After deciding who was going to attempt speaking to them (me or my partner) at bank plain, which had listed the forthcoming property, i decided to call and ask if we could view the property. This turned into a 5 minute call which i had to end up hanging up on because i didn't get an answer to what i asked. The call tirned in to the agent trying to get all our details and try to get us to spend £30,000 above our limit plus saying we need to come in and speak to them and a mortgage advisor which all ready had done. I explained again that we had a disabled son and told him we know want we want to buy and wanted to borrow, this turned in to him being patronizing and inconsiderate to our needs, this is when i had enough and spent the next few minutes trying to get rid of the stress that all came back again through dealing with them. We will not be contacting William H Brown again even if we see a house we really like which they have on the market. A very bad experience more that once.
Comment on agent fees
Thankfully didn't go that far but i believe it's £2.395
