We had agreed a sale with these estate agents - our dream home. We had our mortgage sorted and it was all systems go - only to find out that they did not take it off the market and still allowed another potential buyer to have a look around- because they couldn't get hold of him to cancel. There is always somehow in todays world that you can - leave a voicemail, text, email for example warning that you won't be showing up at the house. They then put in a higher offer.
