*The most serious issues for which they charged £300:
* I signed a form and paid a deposit for a *tenancy* to be a tenant. A few days before moving in they finally sent the contract which was a *lease agreement*, and I was to be a lodger. Upon questioning this, they refused to make it a proper tenancy, glossing over the fact that my deposit no longer needed to be protected, and that I could be asked to leave the house with half the normal notice. The staff are rude, and refused to offer any sort of refund when questioned about this.
* They ** try to force people to buy tenants liability insurance, a useless insurance for which they get a commission from Endsleigh. To avoid this ***, simply sign up with an Internet provider (not Endsleigh) and cancel shortly afterwards.
* They sell your details to Virgin Cable
* They lied about the number of people in the house, stating two less than there actually were.
* They show people around your room without asking, and without notice. They have no respect for the terms in the contract they write.

They are taking 10% and I am chasing them up and visiting my own property to review maintenance issues. I have been billed for maintenance that Ocean agree are the tenant´s costs but as Ocean get my rental before I do, they just pay their maintenance contractors with my money and never take tenant to task saying it will be sorted at end of contract via deposit.Attachments

Do not rent with Ocean. The amount of hoops you have to jump through just to rent a property with these guys isn’t worth the hassle. Outrageous I was charged 500 pounds in relisting fees as I had to leave contract early due aggressive and anti social neighbours who lived in he flat above. They refused to not charge me due to no fault of my own and then stated they had nothing to do with the issue and it was up to the landlord. They promote this property and is on their books!

What agent could do to change your mind?
in accordance to the complaints below (as previously communicated to them) they could respond to them! They need to listen to customer feedback and act on it. I've seen no improvement from them whatsoever and absolutely no care or concern about doing so. Their attitude is shocking and needs to change. We have received a consistently poor service from Ocean despite numerous complaints. - The extortionate agency fee is a joke - Their ability to draw up contracts correctly is highly questionable and slow - Whenever I report a problem with the property they are slow to respond; have little to no enthusiasm or sympathy to get it fixed and on the last occasion I had to spell out what had to be done "try calling the landlord so you can get a faster response than email" - it's not rocket science! - We had a change of tenancy which threw them completely - surely it isn't uncommon for one person to move out of a property and for another to stay whn it's a rental property? - Correspondence is consistantly sent to the wrong address, wrong person or wrong email address. - They don't keep us updated with any ongoing jobs so we're forever chasing information.Attached Filesnbsp;
