At first, I thought it was a fantastic Estate Agents, they soon got my deposit, rent and moved me and my partner into our flat with the help of Lynn.
Due to unforeseen circumstances me and my partner split, thankfully I was able to continue living at the flat whilst I proved I can continue with rent, I was told 2 months I'd offer a new contract. 4-5 months went by and no contact what so ever whilst living on the edge for the past 3 months. Whilst worrying about my tenancy I arranged to move on and change my living circumstances, as soon as I handed in my notice, a contract was offered, No thank you.
When it came to leaving the flat I was not informed on the state the place had to be left in (fridge & freezer defrosted) baring in mind I had the place immaculate. A slight splash of grease in the oven and some wear and tear on the grout in the corner of the bath they decided to deduct around £100 off my deposit.
The storage door had a 20mm hole due to the entrance door handle puncturing the wood work. (which a door stopper should be proved by the landlord to prevent that from happening ) another £50 deducted from my deposit.
The carpet in the flat was old and unfortently the partner I used to live with sindged the carpet ever so slightly due leaving the hair dryer on the floor, because a women from castle estates saw myself smoking OUTSIDE of the premises she instantly concluded they were fag burns, bareing in mind it looked nothing like fag burns and it was hardly even noticeable, it looked more like the carpet had me scraped by furniture with the marks only being 20mm long and not burnt more like worn.
Now I'm at the stage to receive my deposit from DPS, which on there website states it's the landlords/estate agents responsibility to make sure I receive it, after asking the first time with their reply saying they can't give me any information as they don't have any, to me asking again for my depsosit id (which I obviously need to access any information regarding my deposit) they've eventually told me.
So far appalling service, soon as I handed in my notice to leave, I felt like I've been deserted with no experience or knowledge in property b
