Absolutely appalling service from these individuals from this estate agent. Having had an offer accepted at asking price, we in good faith progressed with our mortgage application, paying valuations fees as well as solicitor fees. They continued to let other potential buyers view the property without us knowing, and ultimately continued to take in offers on the property, before informing us that a potential buyer wanted to make a higher offer. Having what I can only assume was encouraging this behaviour of greed, we found ourselves in a position where an offer that was made above the asking price was then accepted, and progression on the flat was haulted suddenly for us. As young professionals working hard to secure our first time buy, I would warn other first time buyers that this agency is only out for their commission and is not working in your interests. Avoid or risk wasting time and money.

It's different in Scotland, where accepting an offer is a binding contract; but your problem here is not the agent, it's English law.
I have no experience of this firm, but I do have 10 years in the industry.
