Five stars all the way!

I decided to switch letting agents because a mutual friend said what a great job Jane had done for them.

Since I became a landlord in 2008 I have been through 3 other local agents, all of which over-promised and under-delivered, leaving me feeling short changed and inclined sell up because being a landlord was becoming too much hassle.. Jane has completely transformed things for me and I couldn't be happier!

To start.. my property is in Shirley, so a few miles out of Vincent Chandler's normal catchment area, but Jane assured me it wasn't an issue - and she found me some new tenants within a matter of days, who were prepared to pay the asking price and commit for a year; they really ticked all the boxes! She met with them personally and made sure they were referenced before securing a commitment from them.

On the subject of fees, with my previous letting agents I always felt somewhat ripped-off with what I was paying, considering they didn't really do very much in return for a sizeable chunk of my rental income (I won't go into specifics about other agencies, but they couldn't even return calls when I needed help with problems.) Jane negotiated a very reasonable management fee, which I am delighted with. In addition, she was entirely transparent about what levels of service Vincent Chandler could offer, and clearly explained what I would need to have done at the start of a new tenancy, and what those things would cost me.

My property needed quite a lot of work done before I could hand it over to new tenants, and Jane offered to just sort it all out. She consulted the appropriate workmen to take care of each problem - people she could vouch for, and who turned up on time and got the job done. This has saved me a great deal of time and stress. I could just get on with my usual things, knowing that Jane was on the case.

There are numerous other small personal touches that I really appreciated, and from the start I have felt confident that nothing is too much trouble, no problem or question is too small or too big, and there is an attitude of common sense and CAN DO! which really is a breath of fresh air.

They say if you want something done, ask a busy person!
I know Jane is busy because she excels at her role and is therefore popular and in demand. But you never hear her say she is too busy. Phone calls and emails are returned promptly, I am never left wondering what's going on!

In this day and age it is a rare treat to find a letting agent that goes that extra mile with the service they provide once they think they've got your business. Jane thoroughly deserves her solid reputation as one of the best letting agents, and every glowing review she receives.

My experience with Jane and Vincent Chandler thus far, really is the best example of why it is worth doing business with a local firm who treat each customer (landlord and tenant) as a person with individual needs and bend over backwards to meet them. I wish I had done this sooner!

very reasonable especially compared with large chains of estate/letting agents, and I already know I am getting a much better value service.
