An experience that just completely confirmed my opinions of estate agents. Right from the start when their representative was 45 minutes late arriving for the appointment, through to not informing me that the sale had collapsed, it was a soul destroying experience.Between them and their preferred solicitor (but more of them later), they managed to collapse a transaction involving a vacant property with no chain at either end, and took nine months to do it.
A very high turnover of staff with seemingly no handover or transitional notes left, lack of updates and progress chasing and, worst of all, being steered towards their preferred conveyancers (Premier Property Lawyers) with the stated aim of speeding up the sale. If it that statement was not so painful, then I would laugh. .The sale collapsed due to the buyer finally losing patience over unacceptable delays in answering queries, and pulled the plug.
I never wish to have any dealings with Connells ever again, and would strongly advise against anyone taking their recommendations on solicitors.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Awful, awful, awful service. Late to viewing appointment and then collapsed the sale altogether along with Premier Property Lawyers
