I came to know about this agency through a recommendation from a waiter at a café who I told I was looking for a flat in Glasgow. When I visited their website I found a property I liked and so I contacted the agency and arranged a viewing -so far all is normal. During the viewing we directly stated our interest for the flat and the same day we started to submit the references the agent said would be needed. The agent Andy promised to get back to us the next day. This is where the story ends. He never got back to us despite numerous calls to the agency asking him to get back to us. The receptionist seems very uninterested and don't seem to know much about the procedures - we were connected away from her almost every time we called to ask questions about the reference papers.

We put another property on hold, risking it to go away, just because we were waiting for an answer back from them. FORTUNATELY during this very stressful time of waiting for a call back we went online and looked for reviews of this agency. After not finding one single good review about Macfie and co we decided to go for another agency and flat. We are very happy with this choice as Andy or another representative from the agency, weeks later, STILL has not contacted us as they promised......

Lesson learned: Always do research on the services you are going to buy before buying.

I had to deal with these cowboys when i owned a flat in a communal block and they were a joke sending in cowboy after cowboy i eventually had to go to court when i refused to pay £50 for them supplying 10 light bulbs they never even installed them just left them in a box in the communal cupboard - terrible customer service! ...

£30 per quarter is fine if they do anything for their money. It's a rip off with MacFie because they do nothing. They struggle to reply to emails, get invoices correct or even get quotes for work required on the building.
