Although I dealt mainly with the manager, James Collins, all the staff were helpful. The photographs and information sheet were produced quickly and all other matters were dealt with efficiently. This was especially important, as after I had accepted the buyer's offer, the buyer wished to complete in less than two weeks; I assume in order to avoid an increase in stamp duty on the 1st of April.
Comment on agent fees
I agreed a sliding scale depending on the sale price achieved:
- over ‚£1.25M : 1.25%
- less than ‚£1.25M : 1%
I accepted an offer of ‚£1.2M, so the fees charged were 1% which is in lline with the going rate for higher valued properties.
