Typical Estate Agents you hear all the bad stories about.
Disappointed that I can't rate 0 stars.
It took over 20 days for our deposit to be returned (compared to the agreed 10 days) - I sent numerous emails and never received a reply. I called to be told the manager was on annual leave and would contact me on his return. 2 weeks later and no contact. Once the deposit was returned we were deducted £25 for an admin fee, which is disgusting considering the amount of time it took to be returned.
Property was let to us without fire alarms, damp in 3 rooms, no underlay under carpet and poorly cleaned. (cobwebs, dust and dirt everywhere) - we also had a serious issue with rats and flooding. All problems reported to Castle Estates and ignored or told 'we will look into this'. Poor service.
DO NOT trust these estate agents.

We are obviously very disappointed with this review, and we do consider it extremely misleading and inaccurate. What Adam fails to mention is that the £25.00 administration charge has nothing whatsoever to do with his deposit, but was applied because of additional work involved in having to return to the tenant a further rent payment that was made because he failed to cancel his Standing Order ! He was also a tenant at the property for nearly a year, and in all our previous dealings had expressed how much they enjoyed living at the property. There was a slight delay in returning the deposit, which we fully accept, but again, there was some adjustments that had to be made for additional rent because the tenants stayed an extra couple of days, which we were happy to agree to. We have tried to resolve matters with Adam, and even offered to refund the admin charge, but to no avail. Would like to stress that our reputation is certainly NOT "a typical money grabbing company" and we reject this accusation totally.
