Absolutely TERRIBLE service. Would not recommend to ANYONE. It doesnt matter how desperate you are for a house, dont do it.
From start to finish they have not had a grip on anything to do with our letting.
We were promised specific furniture (a double bed) by the agent that showed us round, then we signed on saying yes, we'd like to rent this house, we were then invited to pay our deposit and the agents fees (£30 each) but NOT, crucially, to sign the tenancy agreement. We came back a week later to sign the tenancy agreement, having to take time out of work (at brand new jobs) because they arent open even 1 evening a week or on a Saturday or even over lunch. We were then told that the *VITAL* furniture piece we had requested wasnt included with the rental, ~sorry~ with very little remorse or consideration to us shown, literally oh sorry, that doesnt matter does it? < It being the entire reason I had chosen that house. We have been forced to buy the bed ourselves, because it's now too late to get alternative rental accomodation that would be even halfway decent. The agent we spoke to at the signing also had no clue about any of the more complex terms of the tenancy agreement and could not explain them to me during the signing.
Then we needed an appointment to collect the keys, which neither of us can attend because of the aforementioned unhelpful hours (10am-4.30pm) and work commitments, so I arranaged for someone else to collect the keys on my behalf at lunch time, only to be called the day before because the time didnt suit.
More last minute and poor communication.
I expressed my annoyance, very politely, and had it implied to me that the furniture issue was MY FAULT because the video inventory (which I dont have access to) doesnt show a double bed, despite an agent from their company promising it to me?!
Needless to say I am very unhappy, very annoyed, seriously out of pocket, and enraged by the poor customer service and communication within the firm.
What agent could do to change your mind?
