I originally used VE in 2015. I had a good amount of interest on an open day, and several good offers in line with VE's valuation however I wasn't in a rush to sell so held out for a higher bid and/or until I had found somewhere. Throughout this time VE got me a steady stream of viewings, and a good amount of offers. Personal circumstances meant it wasn't a suitable time to sell then so I took the house off the market, with VE having provided a good service throughout.
When it came to trying to sell again in 2016 I considered using an internet only do-it-yourself agency however the service and marketing I knew VE could offer won me over, as well as the inevitable hassle of having to arrange everything myself with an internet only company. For me this was worth paying more than I would have with one of the websites. VE got around 20 viewings for my property in the first few days it was marketed, all conveniently arranged for one open day.
From this, I got one offer however this was for a greater amount than I was expecting. Ultimately, I ended up with more money in my pocket than if I had tried to do-it-myself, and without any of the hassle.
I would recommend VE for their customer service, and the marketing of the property before and on the open day had the right result. I have dealt with Steve, Jack, Sean throughout the processes, with Ian taking over to co-ordinate once the offer had been accepted. Great service from everyone.
Comment on agent fees
Good. I discussed fees and valuations on both of my attempts to sell, and on both occasions Village Estates provided the best combination from several companies in the local area.
