I was gazumped
Haart showed me a property I really liked and I decided to make an offer there and then. Haart's agent showing me around encouraged me to increase my offer to make it a "done deal", which I did. I verbally made the offer to the vendor with Haart's agent present. My offer was accepted. I was asked to go to Haart's office to present ID etc. No sooner had I done so that I found out I was gazumped, a higher offer had been accepted after mine had been accepted.
Haart allowed me to be gazumped, a highly deceitful and unethical practice. Haart mismanaged the offer process and let it turn onto an auction where bidding continues even after the hammer falls. I expected better.
I emailed a complaint to the branch manager who has not got back to me. I will never go anywhere near Haart again.
