Where can I honestly start with this pathetic excuse of an estate agents. Myself and my mother moved into the property in March 2015 however prior to that we had the keys for about 3-4 weeks, the estate agents stated we could "do whatever" we wanted to the flat in terms of decorating etc. we started to decorate to make the flat our own little home but as time progressed we started to notice more and more problems. We moved in 23rd March 2015, the first thing I noticed was that the Windows were being kept closed with masking tape therefore we could not open them so if ever there was a fire we would not be able to use the Windows to escape. This brings me on to the second point there was no fire alarms fitted throughout the flat and the fire escape was blocked with all kinds of rubbish. The boiler did not work, leading to the radiators not giving off any heat whatsoever, we would have to sit in the living room wearing coats as it was so cold in there! The decorating we did do in the flat was ruined by all of the damp coming through the walls. After having numerous phone calls with the estate agents both myself and my mom were distressed by what we were living in, on 24th December 2015 I called the estate agents to notify them of 4 leaks in the master bedroom, with it being the Christmas season was was not expecting anyone come to look at the roof, however by the end of January the roof was leaking more and more every time it rained and had stated to leak in the hall way next to the light fitting. The list is endless in regards to the repairs of this flat. My advice to anyone renting is to NOT rent from this estate agents! All they want is your money. We are now extremely happy as we moved out 3 weeks ago, paying £50 extra per month to live in a palace with a great estate agent and landlord.
