After a painful and fruitless attempt to sell our house the year before through a local Estate Agent, we tried again with eMoov, and were successful. Before selecting eMoov from the plethora of Internet Agents now vying for business we made a calls to a number of them posing as prospective buyers, and were most impressed by eMoov. Although eMoov is notionally an Internet Agent, it didn't feel that different to dealing with the local agent. We mostly progressed things via phone and e-Mail. However, the big differences were that the eMoov phone was answered during the advertised hours, eMoov people got back to us when they said they would, the advice we got from eMoov made sense to us ... chalk and cheese really. Highly recommended.
Comment on agent fees
The fees were highly competitive, especially as we pre-paid for the cut-price conveyancing options. No one else I have spoken to ever paid so little to their conveyancers. We went with the low initial/larger fee on completion option since we wanted eMoov to have an incentive for the sale to happen, but the eMoov person I spoke to said it really made no difference to them, since they weren't paid commission, and in fact I couldn't fault them.
