Sensational, hilarious levels of incompetence. I have been dealing with these agents for around 18 months while renting a three bed property from them and in that time have seen some unbelievable blunders including:
- the wrong names on a contract;
- the wrong monthly rent price on a contract;
- incorrect deposit amounts asked for;
- wrong property address written on reference forms and contracts.
They clearly have no interest in providing an adequate service for their clients; when I confronted Zak about a number of these mistakes in the office he responded incredibly rudely and slightly aggressively ('Are you serious?!') before telling me that a large proportion of the blame was mine and that I needed to be more careful in future. It's quite staggering to see the fees that these guys ask for when they are not even able to match the right address to a property that they are supposedly managing.
They clearly have a lot of experience in the industry, and they recognise that the market moves so fast that people can seldom afford for a last minute problem to derail their moving in. What that means is that Times Place know that they can gradually increase their demands and introduce hidden costs as the deadline approaches because tenants will be facing the reality of having nowhere else to go and no time to find somewhere if the deal falls through. Regardless of the quality of service they provide, they know they will almost always end up lining their pockets, so why make any effort to progress professionally or ethically?
We were promised that our house would have a full professional clean before we moved in which we had to fight tooth and nail to get, and which we were made to wait three days for.
I am still undecided if Zak and Maj are brilliant con men or utterly useless estate agents; in reality it is likely a little of both.

I am obviously using a pseudonym. This was not a fake review and each and every one of the complaints I wrote was genuine. The fact that you feel the need to write 'yet another fake review' under every review speaks volumes about the level of conmanship you go in for and to talk about your 'transparency' when almost every review on here mentions hidden costs is lunacy.

Yet another fake review left on our review website as none of our landlords of this surname have a property of this nature and none of these situations ever arose. We emphasize attention to details, as well as cross all the T and dot all the I's, when addressing paperwork as we understand the importance of our duties to our clients. In addition all references are obtained via a reputable references agency therefore I would like to request these false claims and reviews to stop please as reviews are there to illustrate a true event and not to be used in this manner.

Are aim is to always try to ensure that cancelations are kept to as minimum as possible as we appreciate this is inconvenient for all parties concerned.

There is nothing fake about this review. I lived in said 3 bed property and were party to all of these incompetencies. These have been further illustrated by the above comment saying there are no landlords under this name when we clearly said we were tenants. Incompetencies also included;
Giving no warning of showing the property, even though 24 hours is promised. not hugely appreciated with some of us working night shifts.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). Showing the property weeks after we'd moved in and lying to buyers that we would be out in months. Having just signed a year contract, they were either lying to them or planned to break our contract.
On rewriting our contract, a single member of staff attempted to con us out of lots of money due to completely incompetent maths! I don't believe he was intentionally trying to mess us around. Simply incapable at arithmetic or using a calculator, which I had to correct to avoid is losing hundreds.
All that said, we like where we lived, despite the landlord not servicing the property and mould growing steadily, or any job he did do being left unfinished.
But if you can possibly find a property without using Times Place, do it!
