The property I moved into was not what was even advertised to me originally. A completely different postcode and property were signed over to me. I have no idea where the photos even came from; from what I messaged about on air bnb. I was also told professionals lived in the accommodation but it was actually formulated entirely of couples, 4 of whom are a related polish family. On top of this fact there were people living in the accommodation who are not working professionals as one woman said she wasn't even employed- and spent most of her day in the house. I was told it was working professionals in this household like myself.

Like felt pressurised to sign the contract as I needed to live in Crawley for work the following day. My contract changed with work and so I did not need the rental property. I then attempted to get my money back. This is where the trouble began. I never at any point used the house or property and only just got my suitcase through the door before leaving again. I was given back £160 out of the £280 and was told the decision would then lay with the 'boss' as I was told. This was his reply emailed to me:

On 26 Jan 2016, at 15:36, "Andrew Hunt" <> wrote:

I UNDERSATNND THAT THIS IS A RENTAL MATTER, IF YOU KNEW ME, THEN YOU
WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT I HAVE HAD NO DEALING WITH RENTAL PROPERTIES FOR
THE LAST 15 YEARS, SO I RECOMMEND THAT YOU SPEAK TO THE RIGHT PEOPLE IN
FUTURE BEFORE MAKING ASUMPTIONS : ANDREW HUNT"

Avoid. At. All. Costs.

I will be taking this matter forward to trading standards due to continuous misadvertisement.

Tell me , do/did you get annual accounts with where your maintenance charge was spent? We get a badly presented excel sheet that my six year old could do better. Surely there must be some mistake? Andrew Hunt claims that although he writes on websites he is a Letting Agent he has nothing to do with letting properties and that a company which operates out of his offices and staff who answer the phone or who are contactable by email at [email protected] do not really work for Andrew Hunt and work for a completely different company altogether set up three months ago - but this review is from May 2013 so it appears Mr Hunt is trying to mislead various agen ...
