This estate agent is fantastic when you haven't signed the contract yet, once you sign the contract then all the negatives start flowing... They change the terms of the contract to what they originally send you as a draft, when you leave then trying to deduct unfair charges for cleaning and want the flat to be cleaned by a professional company when it wasn't cleaned profesiionaly before we moved in.
Jeremy is especially rude and threat you with non sense and delays the deposit for no reason... We have to go to the deposit scheme wasting vital time and they are sitting in their office enjoying that they have your money and you can not do anything about it. Avoid them at any cost if you can. Now have to serve them with a court notice to get our money back.

Thanks Alex for your unkind words, perhaps a well constructed and worded email to myself may have been more appropriate and useful but you clearly wanted to have a rant.
Before going to the ombudsman you have to comply with the company complaints procedure which will involve you having to construct a sensible email without calling us "cretins" and "lazy"

Thanks for the review, here is a few points you conveniently left out of your review:
1. You failed to replace the mattress as agreed at the start of the tenancy and Jesse had to run around trying to help you out
2. All bills aren't paid, the communal heating and hot water bill is still outstanding (not your fault) but we have to hold funds back

CITYZEN will only deal with the deposit in the correct legal manner. If you are not happy with the deductions that the landlord wishes to make based on the independent inventory reports carried out then you are free to dispute this through the deposit scheme. They will assess the evidence and give an independent decision based on this.
We are not 'sitting' on your money. We will pay back all the funds minus any disputed amounts as required. Your contract clearly states that the flat must be professionally cleaned when you vacate and all our flats are professionally cleaned when tenants move in. I'm sure that when you moved into the property that there were no issues with the clean.
I would also like to know where I have been 'rude' to you. I treat all tenants in a professional and courteous manner and would appreciate some evidence as to where I have been rude to you.
Please resolve any issues you have through the correct channels rather than posting a spurious review on AllAgents because your not happy that you will have to fulfil your part of the contract that you signed. I look forward to your response. Jeremy - CityZEN
